About Casper Cat Rescue
Casper Cat Rescue was founded by local cat lover Angela Zambai in 1996. Angela was born a cat lover and has always been drawn to helping them in any way possible. From leaving food out for neighborhood cats to bringing home strays and trying to talk her parents into keeping them. She visited the local shelters as a child when one of her cats was missing and the horrible sight of the poor helpless cats in cages was something she never forgot.
We are a registered non-profit organization located in Casper, Wyoming. We survive solely on the generosity of others and $ out of our own pockets. All your donations are very needed and appreciated greatly and also completely tax deductible.
We offer a cage-free sanctuary for our beloved fur-kids; young, old, wild, tame, sick or healthy we accept them all. We give all cats the unconditional love they deserve, Casper Cat Rescue is a no-kill organization. We are all non-paid volunteers, dedicating every spare moment and penny to help cats. We provide medical treatment and spay and neuter assistance to people in the community that cannot afford it. We also provide the best medical treatment for all cats we rescue and get them spayed and neutered before they are adopted We find the best, safest, loving loving, life-long homes for all our neglected feline friends. We also pull cats from the local kill shelter and get many before they are surrendered.
We transport cats to other no-kill shelters out of state. The cats are transported from Casper, Wyoming to Colorado. Any help from volunteers in towns along that route would be very helpful; it works well with relay-drivers, give us a call if you're interested.
Our rescued cats are all fostered in our homes, we don't keep them in cages. They get lots of attention and interaction with people and other cats so they are people friendly and have plenty of personality. If you adopt a cat from us you will get information about your cat, including what kinds of people and other animals he or she gets along with, what brands of food and litter to use, favorite places to hang out or sleep, and favorite toys.
Unlike other rescues we help feral as well as domestic cats. Feral cats are also spayed or neutered before being re-homed. We are always looking for barn homes for these kitties as well. They will show their appreciation by making sure you don't have a rodent problem!!
